Edge detection methods are iterative image processing algorithms automatically pointing out all edges appering in an image. Our idea is to use edge detection to determine the profile of a source from its uv_smooth images. The iterative procedure is performed as long as a statistical agreement between the measured visibilities and the ones corresponding to the source distribution inside a specific boundary evaluates to true.
