Nicolas Bian Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Glasgow, UK Email: nbian (at) hotmail.com Group 2 Contribution: Low-frequency Alfven waves become dispersive at small scales. Following the same lines as Goldreich and Sridhar for strong anisotropic Alfvenic turbulence, a theory for kinetic Alfven waves turbulence is constructed. The magnitude of the turbulent electric field fluctuations is determined as a function of wave number (i.e. the electric field spectrum). In the dispersive range, these turbulent electric field fluctuations possess a component parallel to the magnetic field which is responsible for stochastic acceleration of electrons.
