Module descriptions

The course modules are split into four main areas: Statistics/Probability, Mathematics, Informatics and Physics. These do not correspond to the areas as coded by the Ministry of University and are to be intended as a broad partition of the taught topics.

A number of CUP (credito formativo universitario, a rough measure of the study load) is associated to each module. For a typical student a CUP represents 25 hours notional work.  For a traditional lecture course a CUP corresponds to 8 hours of class work.

Attendance to lectures is not compulsory. Nevertheless attendance is highly recommended.
